Poetry: The Hula of Change

1–2 minutes

As the sun set over the horizon, filling the sky with shades of gold and red, the soothing sound of waves rolling onto the shore filled the air. In this beautiful island paradise, change isn’t just about time passing—it’s like a dance, a hula that’s part of everything here. Each moment is like the unfolding petals of a hibiscus, sharing the stories of our past while hinting at what’s to come. With the palm trees swaying in the breeze and the ocean singing its tune, we find ourselves living in this ever-changing adventure.

The Hula of Change

In whispers soft, the islands sway,
From winter rains to sunny play,
The plumeria blooms through gentle mist,
In nature’s embrace, no joy is missed.

The ocean tides, both deep and wide,
Carving shores with ancient pride,
Reflecting sunsets’ vibrant hue,
An endless chant, a dance anew.

The moon ascends, a shining pearl,
In phases bright, it guides the swirl,
Reminds us of the stars’ sweet glow,
Through shadows cast, our spirits flow.

Yet change, it stirs both joy and pain,
As land transforms and waves reclaim,
For in each end, a new beginning,
A chance to rise, and find our singing.

Embrace the winds that kiss the shore,
In every dusk, a new day’s lore,
So let your heart beat like the drum,
For change, beloved, will welcome home.

This is a gentle, evocative piece—rich with imagery and calm wisdom. The way you weave nature, rhythm, and transformation feels like a true hula of words, inviting the reader to embrace change with grace and trust. Beautifully soothing and reflective.
