Poetry: The Artist’s Dilemma

With every brushstroke, I pour out my heart,
And with each bright color, I make my art.
Creating a masterpiece feels so wonderful,
But selling my paintings feels like losing part of my soul.

Each finished piece tells a story of me,
A slice of my journey, a part of my key.
I’ve spent many nights working with care,
But letting go of one feels like losing something rare.

Can you feel this bond that’s so deep?
Letting go of something precious can feel like a leap.
The fear of losing a part of my being
Whispers to me, “Is this really worth seeing?”

That canvas holds my dreams; it shows my true vision,
Will others see its magic or just make a division?
The thought can weigh heavy, a burden to bear,
What if they don’t get it, or don’t even care?

Selling my art brings both hope and doubt,
It helps fund my passion, but pulls at my heart, no doubt.
How do I balance the need to share
With the worry that people might not really care?

Yet as I let go, fresh energy flows,
Opening doors to new ideas and creative grows.
Each sale brings connection, a spark of delight,
When someone loves my piece, my heart takes flight.

Letting go isn’t just farewell; it’s a chance to grow,
Each piece I release helps my creativity flow.
Am I ready to let go and see what’s in store?
To explore new ideas and create even more?

The struggle is real, with feelings that twist,
But embracing the art of release brings a bliss.
So share your own stories; let’s connect and inspire,
In this journey of creation, let’s light the fire.

Beautiful! I can’t imagine what it must be like to pour your heart into a work and then let go, but its also to people who truly appreciate the art so that’s a small consolation.
