You know, life can get pretty hectic sometimes. Between work and all the responsibilities we juggle, it’s easy to forget to have a little fun. I’ve discovered over the years that dedicating time to activities I truly enjoy is what keeps me balanced and happy. So, let me share five of my favorite things to do that bring me joy.

First off, there’s my art. Oh, how I love to dive into my creative zone! It’s like stepping into a whole different world. I’ll grab my paintbrush and some acrylic paint and just let my hands do the talking. It’s amazing how much peace I can find in transforming a blank canvas into something colorful and expressive. Sometimes, I’ll spend hours tinkering away, completely losing track of time. Each piece I create adds a little character to my home, and it’s like having a part of my imagination on display.

Then there’s hiking—my go-to escape when I need a break from everything. There’s something so refreshing about getting outdoors and soaking up the beauty of nature. Whether I’m trudging up a tough trail or just strolling through a park, I can’t get enough of the sights and sounds around me. The fresh air fills me up, and I always come back feeling more grounded, as if nature has a way of clearing all that mental clutter.

Now, let’s talk about my green friends. Taking care of my plants has turned into this wonderful little hobby. As an interior decorator, I appreciate how much life those little green guys bring into my spaces. I love watering them, watching them grow, and figuring out where they fit best in my home. Each plant has its own personality, and seeing them thrive makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s like nurturing little living pieces of art!

Speaking of my job, being an interior decorator is one of the most fulfilling things I ever chose to do. Seriously, I get to create beautiful environments for people, and it’s so much fun! I love connecting with my clients, understanding their stories, and helping them turn their visions into reality. Picking out colors, arranging furniture, and adding personal touches is like storytelling through design. At the end of each project, I can’t help but feel a swirl of excitement when I step back and see everything come together!

And let’s not forget those cozy nights where it’s just me, my couch, and my favorite shows. There’s nothing better than curling up with snacks (can anyone say popcorn?) and binge-watching something that completely captivates me. It’s like taking a mini-vacation without leaving my living room. I get lost in the plotlines and characters, laughing, crying, and sometimes even yelling at the screen. It’s pure escapism and the perfect way to unwind after a long day.

So, there you have it! These five simple pleasures—working on my art, escaping into nature, nurturing my plants, creating beautiful spaces, and diving into my favorite shows—are what help me keep my spirit alive and my creativity flowing. Life’s too short not to indulge in what brings you joy, right? What about you? What do you do to unwind and have a little fun?
