In a world governed by neat edges and polished facades, I found myself torn between wonder and frustration, looking for a way to express the invisible. One day, in a moment of exasperation, I tore a piece of paper, creating a jagged hole as the fibers frayed. As I studied it closely, I felt something shift inside me.

That rough edge was alive, whispering secrets of vulnerability and raw beauty. This wasn’t just a tear—it was a puncture in reality, a gateway to a deeper understanding of the world around me.
Fueled by this revelation, I set out to create my masterpiece, “Punctured Perception.” The painting came to life, featuring that bold golden hole against a backdrop of darkness. I wanted to invite viewers to bend closer and question everything: was the hole a flaw, or was it an opening to new worlds?
When people gazed at my work, I could see them shifting perspectives. Some found stories within the gaps—tales of loss, courage, and paths not taken. Others felt compelled to explore their own lives, understanding that beauty can thrive even in imperfection.
Through my art, I learned that it’s often the punctures in our perception that reveal our most profound truths. And as the world rushed by in polished perfection, my painting stood as a reminder to embrace the beauty in the broken.
